In an age of information, having too much of it coming at us is the norm. On topics of self-development, growth and awakening, there is plenty of impressive stuff out there. We roll through posts and snippets of videos and memes. Words, often spoken to us by strangers, or even AI, giving direction, analysis, or inspiration for how to be our best selves, live our best lives, and figure out all of our problems. And yet, no matter how much information we receive, we are neither satisfied nor soothed. We are overwhelmed and confused, disconnected and stressed out.

We are meant to share our gifts, thoughts, opinions, experiences, lessons, awakenings, understandings, and expressions of ourselves with our human family. We are meant to step forward to help one another in all of the many ways that we do, but receiving external information from others just doesn’t feel right when something crucial seems to be missing: YOU. The directions meant for you. The knowledge meant for you. The guidance meant for you. Your system, your path, your way.

Get to Know Who You Really Are Part 1: Becoming Receptive is a course all about locating yourself first. Who you really are is not your childhood wounds, trauma, and triggers. Looking there does give us helpful information, but any kind of solution that does not involve the truth of who you really are can only get you so far, and will just continue the conditioning in new ways. The mind that has been wounded, traumatized, and triggered cannot fathom the solutions that so readily exist inside the Source of your being.

You are the place where information lands. You are the one who holds that information in your hands, like a ball of soft, bright playdough, or a lump of cold red clay (depending on what you are playing with), molding it into something that is made by you. In the pages of this course, you will find calm space to develop your ability to see yourself—beyond the material—by looking toward the origin and source of who you really are. When you are becoming receptive, the information that is meant for you finds you, internally and externally, so that you don’t have to constantly search for answers outside yourself.
